Designer
TEECOM
About the Position The Designer I is an entry-level role focused on building discipline fundamentals through hands‑on Revit modeling, coordination, and documentation while learning TEECOM’s workflows, tools, and standards that support coordinated construction document delivery across TEECOM disciplines. You’ll be paired with an engineering mentor and contribute to project delivery while collaborating closely with production staff to strengthen discipline knowledge, coordination awareness, and delivery consistency. Under clear guidance, you’ll prepare Revit models, update drawings, assist with reports and calculations, take meeting notes, and support coordination activities that help keep projects aligned and moving forward. You’ll participate in structured training journeys, shadow senior consultants, and gain hands‑on exposure to Telecom/ICT, Audiovisual, Security, Acoustics, Network, Wi‑Fi, and other technology disciplines as applicable, as you build discipline knowledge. This position reflects foundational technical development, a strong learning mindset, and disciplined production and documentation habits. Learning, Support, and Collaboration As a Designer I, your impact comes from your eagerness to learn, ability to follow direction, and commitment to producing accurate, well‑documented work. You contribute in three key ways: Learn From Mentors and Project Teams You accelerate your development by asking questions, applying feedback, and building strong technical habits. You strengthen project delivery by providing reliable support to senior engineers and production staff. You improve coordination quality by working closely with production staff to ensure models and drawings reflect accurate, current design intent. You develop proficiency in the tools and software used across disciplines to support technical delivery. Contribute to Team Learning and Collaboration You build your skills and support team learning through structured training journeys, mentorship, and hands‑on project experience. You elevate team clarity by sharing observations, questions, and lessons learned. You strengthen documentation quality by keeping notes, tools, and modeling information accurate and up to date. Improve the TEECOM System You build strong technical habits by applying TEECOM’s templates, standards, and workflows as you learn discipline fundamentals. You support coordinated project delivery by maintaining accurate markups, models, notes, and documentation. You reinforce consistency by following established processes and seeking clarity when expectations are unclear. What Success in this Position Looks Like You produce accurate and organized Revit models, narratives, calculations, markups, and supporting documentation that strengthen coordinated project delivery. You respond quickly to feedback, incorporate revisions effectively, and show improvement in technical and production skills. You maintain complete, timely documentation—including meeting notes, markups, and updates to project tools. You maintain a healthy model structure by following TEECOM’s file naming, view template, workset, and linking standards. You develop awareness of spatial coordination, device placement logic, and how technology systems integrate into architectural and MEP environments. You complete assigned tasks on schedule and communicate early when risks or delays arise. You apply TEECOM’s standards, templates, and processes consistently. You actively participate in training journeys, shadowing opportunities, and hands‑on learning that strengthen technical capability. You communicate professionally and work effectively with internal team members and project partners. You maintain utilization targets and complete daily time and expense entries accurately. You model TEECOM’s Core Values—Care, Trust, and Value—through responsiveness, teamwork, curiosity, and integrity. Responsibilities and Expectations These responsibilities and expectations represent what is required to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. Annual and Quarterly Align your development and technical growth with company Objectives (OKRs) by contributing to coordinated project delivery through Revit modeling, documentation, and production work aligned with engineering direction. Participate in performance assessments and apply feedback to strengthen technical skills, coordination awareness, and production quality. Complete required training journeys to support professional growth and consistent delivery practices. Maintain organized models, documentation, and markups that reflect accurate and current design intent. Share lessons learned and observations with senior team members to support discipline documentation improvements. Monthly and Biweekly Support project delivery through accurate production work, including preparing and updating Revit models, sheets, and markups aligned with engineering direction. Participate in discipline, project, team, and group meetings to strengthen coordination, awareness, and understanding of project workflows. Support drawing coordination by implementing redlines and guidance from engineers and production staff. Document design updates and decisions in project tools when directed. Participate in BIM and engineering discussions to build coordination and technical understanding. Maintain accurate and timely time and expense entries to support project tracking and delivery accountability. Weekly and Daily Support project teams by updating Revit models, drawing sets, documentation, and coordination items aligned with engineering direction and project deadlines.
