Job Title: Warehouse Worker – Freezer Job Description

This role supports daily warehouse operations in a cold storage environment, focusing on packing, palletizing, and loading finished materials for shipment. You will work on the loading dock handling dry ice, preparing boxes and pallets, and using material handling equipment to ensure products ship safely, accurately, and on time.

• Work on the loading dock packing dry ice onto boxes of finished materials while following safety and handling procedures.
• Hand pack boxes of packaged materials, ensuring accurate counts and secure packing to prevent damage during transit.
• Load trucks with packaged boxes and pallets in an organized and efficient manner to meet shipping schedules.
• Build and wrap pallets of finished goods, ensuring stability and proper stacking for safe transport.
• Attach and verify documentation on pallets, including labels and shipping paperwork, to maintain accurate records.
• Use forklifts (sit-down or stand-up) and pallet jacks to move, stage, and organize materials throughout the warehouse.
• Perform general labor and material handling tasks as needed to support overall warehouse operations.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and company procedures to maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work area.
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including checking in materials and preparing outbound shipments.
• Support inventory management by scanning, counting, and tracking products using RF scanners and inventory systems.
• Consistently lift and move items weighing 40+ pounds as part of daily warehouse activities.

• At least 2+ years of warehouse experience in a similar operational role.
• At least 2+ years of pallet building and pallet wrapping experience.
• Proven ability to consistently lift and move 40+ pounds throughout the shift.
• Experience operating sit-down or stand-up forklifts in a warehouse environment.
• Hands-on experience with pallet jacks for material movement and staging.
• Background in shipping and receiving processes, including loading and unloading trucks.
• Experience working with inventory management tasks such as counting, tracking, and organizing stock.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in a warehouse or production setting.
• Ability to work effectively in cold storage and refrigerated warehouse conditions.
• Strong attention to detail when packing, labeling, and documenting pallets and shipments.

• Experience using RF scanners for inventory and order processing.
• Previous exposure to general labor tasks within industrial or warehouse environments.
• Comfort working with dry ice and refrigerated or freezer products.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately in a fast-paced setting.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality to support a consistent Monday–Friday schedule.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate smoothly with warehouse staff and shipping personnel.

This position is based in a warehouse environment with significant time spent in cold storage and refrigerated areas. The standard schedule runs Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., providing consistent daytime hours. You will work around loading docks, freezers, and material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners. The facility is colder than a typical warehouse due to freezer and refrigeration operations, and you will mainly work in cold storage, so appropriate warm clothing such as hoodies is common. Steel-toe footwear is required to support safety in an active warehouse setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Berlin, WI.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
