Job Title: Production Technician I


Job Summary: The Production Technician I will support the production department by assisting senior-level technicians. This entry-level position involves learning quality standards, performing hourly machine checks, and packaging rolls. The technician will review the quality process and identify quality issues under the guidance of senior technicians. Over time, the technician will gain more responsibility, including setting up machines, troubleshooting minor production-related issues, and prioritizing routine tasks to improve efficiency. Safety is a key aspect of this role, including the proper use of personal protective equipment and safe disposal of hazmat waste.


Key Responsibilities:

• Assist senior technicians in the production department.
• Learn and adhere to quality standards.
• Perform hourly checks of the machine and identify defects.
• Review the quality process and identify quality issues with oversight.
• Package rolls and retrieve required items for production.
• Follow detailed instructions and work under close supervision.
• Set up machines with full oversight.
• Prioritize routine tasks to improve efficiency.
• Troubleshoot minor production-related issues.
• Follow safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment.
• Safely dispose of hazmat waste in the proper area.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Willingness to learn and work under close supervision.
• Basic understanding of safety procedures and personal protective equipment.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with quality control processes.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and chemicals.
• Use of personal protective equipment required.
