Job Title: Endoscopy Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Endoscopy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 5 x 8 hours shifts Experience: 1 year License: MO or compact license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Opioid Analgesics experience - Propofol experience - Reversal agents experience - Recover monitored anesthesia care sedation experience - Colonoscopy experience - Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) experience - Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) experience - Charting using EPIC experience Description: We are seeking an experienced Endoscopy Registered Nurse. The position involves mainly pre and post coverage. There will be two late shifts each week. Staff may be required to provide care in the procedural area depending on staffing needs. Late shifts will usually adjust employees' start and end times to accommodate end-of-day procedures. The latest shift ends around 8 PM, but often closes sooner. No weekends or holidays are required. Local candidates within a 75-mile radius are not accepted. Floating is restricted to within the service line and scope. Call may be needed once skills are assessed. The average daily census is 80 procedures, with approximately 47 visits per day in 5 available rooms. Patient ratio experience required is 1:3. Interdisciplinary support is available, including Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, and Pharmacy. Patients are adults and geriatrics needing GI screening procedures or diagnosis of GI complaints. The unit has access to all support within the facility. All nurses in the department are assigned late shifts. We will consider PACU RNs who provide pre and post-procedural care without involvement in procedure execution. Additional skills required include airway management, IV management, specimen handling, and recovery from conscious sedation. All travelers will float within the service line as needed.
