Registered Nurse - PACU

Location: Portland, ME

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shifts vary: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM, and 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM.

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to patients recovering from anesthesia, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the recovery process.

Responsibilities:

• Provide preoperative and postoperative care for patients.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and perform assessments.
• Administer medications and manage pain control.
• Collaborate with the surgical team for continuity of care.
• Educate patients and families on recovery processes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• 3+ years of nursing experience, specifically in PACU or similar settings.
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR), specifically EPIC.
