COLD FOOD (SALAD) (FULL TIME)

We are hiring immediately for a full time Cold Food (Salad) position Location: Caterpillar Financial, 2120 West End Avenue, Nashville, TN 37203 (online applications accepted only). Schedule: Full time schedule. Monday – Friday, 6:00 am – 2:00 am (more details upon interview). Requirement: Experience using a slicer, knife skills, kitchen equipment, and working with a team/partner. Perks: Free parking. Internal Employee Referral Bonus Available. Pay Range: $21.00–$22.50 per hour. Job Summary Cuts delicatessen meats, vegetables and cheeses with a slicing machine, knives or other cutters. Prepares and serves sandwiches, salads and other cold food items. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Obtain daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the Chef. Prepare sandwich meats, cheeses, condiments and salads using approved production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control. Stock and replenish deli/cold products and condiments following approved merchandising guidelines. Carry pans, kettles and trays of food to and from workstation, stove and refrigerator. Store food in designated areas following HACCP standard wrapping, dating and rotation procedures. Clean, sanitize and maintain counters, work surfaces, refrigeration units and floors in the preparation and serving areas. Place meat, cheese or vegetables on a cutting board and cut slices to designated thickness. Position and clamp meat or cheese on a carriage of a slicing machine. Adjust knobs to set the machine for desired thickness. Press the button to start the motor that moves the carriage past the rotary blade that slices meats and cheeses. Interact with coworkers to ensure compliance with company service standards, inventory and cash control procedures. Maintain a clean, safe work environment to comply with sanitation, ServSafe and safety requirements. Perform other duties as assigned.
