Speech-Language Pathologist
This position requires a speech-language pathologist for a skilled nursing facility. The role involves providing therapy services to a varied patient population. A typical daily patient load is between 5 to 9 patients. The caseload includes diagnoses such as CVA, dementia, CHF, COPD, DM2, and dysphagia. Experience working with patients with cognitive impairments is preferred. The facility utilizes electronic medical records with a SOAP note format for documentation. The ideal candidate will have special training or certification in working with dementia patients. The speech-language pathologist will share time between two facilities. Telehealth capabilities and adaptability are a plus for this position. Flexible scheduling is offered but must meet the needs of the facility. All requests for time off must be submitted initially and cannot be requested after the submission. Attendance policies will apply, and excessive missed shifts may result in a review of the contract. Candidates must pass pass/fail tests as a part of the orientation process.
