Additional Information:
RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.


REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:
Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years exp in critical care


Traveler Experience: Unit accepts 1st time travelers

Skills: Adult Critical Care, Emergency Department; Airway Management Devices/Suctioning: Endotracheal tube/suctioning, Extubation, Intubation Assist, Nasal airway placement, Nasal airway suctioning, Oral airway placement, Oropharyngeal/suctioning, Pulmonary Hygiene, Sputum specimen collection, Tracheostomy/suctioning; Care of the Patient With: ARDS, Aspiration, COVID, Pneumonia; Medication Administration: Albuterol, Atrovent; Medication Delivery Systems: Aerosol set up mask, Aerosol set up trach, Medihaler, Metered dose inhaler; Nebulizer: Cold, Hand held, Heated, T-piece, Trach collar; Oxygen therapy: Bag and mask, ET Tube, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Portable Oxygen tank, T-piece, Trach collar; Pulmonary Function Experience: Respiratory Therapy Administration, Arterial punctures; Ventilator Management: BiPAP, CPAP, IMV (intermittent Mandatory Ventilation), SIMV (Synchronized Intermittent Mandatory Ventilation), Troubleshooting high pressure alarms, Weaning from mechanical ventilation; Neonatal/Pediatrics - Equipment/procedures: CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BIPAP, IMV/SIMV, Intubation Assist, Pressure/Volume Ventilator; Care of the Infant/Child With: Near drowning, Respiratory distress syndrome, Respiratory syncytial virus; Professional Knowledge and Skills: ABG interpretation, Basic EKG, Chest Physiotherapy, Drawing arterial blood gases


Certs: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, RRT, State licensed


JOB DETAILS:
Ratios: 1:2 ALL shifts
Shift: 12 HR Nights (1845-0715)
Weekend Requirement: Every other


**Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or
disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed.


PATIENT DIAGNOSES: Post op Orthopedic Surgery, Asthma, OSA, COPD


SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: Orthopedic center of excellence - Caring for patients post-op, Pulmonary toilet, CPAP/BIPAP, EKGs; Busy 23 bed emergency department


SPECIAL EQUIPMENT: Servo ventialtor, Airvo Highflow, Aircurve CPAP


UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): Pyxis, Epic, SBAR


SCRUBS: Black
