Behavioral Health TechnicianExperienced and aspiring mental health professionals are encouraged to consider a full-time Behavioral Health Technician position with Liberty Healthcare at the Illinois Department of Human Services Treatment and Detention Facility.The Treatment and Detention Facility provides specialized forensic mental health services in a secure residential setting to adults who have a history of committing sexual offenses.The treatment program focuses on the individual needs of each client and treats everyone respectfully, with dignity, and with the belief that all people can change and achieve improved health and wellbeing.Liberty Healthcare's clinical team is comprised of over forty Psychologists, Social Workers, Counselors, Behavioral Technicians, Recreation Therapists and ancillary professionals who collectively serve over five hundred clients.ResponsibilitiesParticipating in intake orientation meetings with new residentsParticipating in discharge meetings with residents who are transitioning into the communityCo-facilitating psychoeducational skills groups with licensed cliniciansCommunicating with family members of residentsAdministrative duties and documenting clinical services and resident / client progressTraining and consulting with facility security staffAttending and actively participating in staff meetings, case conferences and training activitiesWork setting and scheduleYou have the option of working five 8-hour days per week or a compressed work week with four 10-hour daysYou will work onsite at the Treatment and Detention Facility at 17019 County Farm Rd. in Rushville, IL 62681Compensation and benefitsSalary range of $45,000 to $55,000 (depending on degree and experience)240 hours of paid time off annually for vacation, sick and personal time plus 10 paid holidaysHealth, dental, and vision insuranceFSA and 401(k)Benefits plan details available at of a Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related human services fieldAbility to provide psycho-educational programming to individuals and groupsKnowledge of behavioral health treatment modalitiesIndividuals who have a Master's degree are encouraged to apply and may be eligible for a promotion in the future.Liberty Healthcare is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
