Position Overview TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph required. We are seeking a talented and experienced Network Engineer—specializing in firewalls with expertise in Cisco, Palo Alto, and Netscaler—to support a key customer. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of network security principles, excellent problem‑solving skills, and a proactive approach to maintaining and optimizing firewall infrastructure. Responsibilities Design, implement, and manage firewall solutions utilizing Cisco, Palo Alto, and NetScaler devices. Perform configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of firewall policies and rules. Monitor network traffic for potential security threats and proactively address vulnerabilities. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure network security standards align with business objectives. Translate customer requirements into enterprise network solutions. Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends and best practices in network security and firewall technologies. Work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment. Qualifications Career Experience Levels: Developmental (0‑2 years) , Full Performance (3‑5 years) , Senior (6‑10 years) , Expert (11‑15 years) , SME (16+ years) . Minimum of 11 years’ experience working with firewall technologies. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred. Proven experience as a Network Engineer focusing on firewall technologies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Optional Requirements Strong proficiency with Palo Alto and Cisco firewall platforms. In‑depth knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, and OSI model. Experience with firewall management software such as Cisco FTD and Palo Alto Panorama. Broad understanding of technical principles and network design concepts. Cloud service provider and hybrid cloud experience (AWS, Azure, Oracle, Google). Industry certifications such as CCNA Security, CCNP Security, PCNSE, or equivalent.
