About the Role

The Company is in need of a Senior Commercial Counsel to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal support to the National Commercial Services function, with a focus on advising and analyzing complex, high-liability commercial real estate transactions across multiple jurisdictions. This role is pivotal in the intersection of legal, underwriting, and deal execution, requiring the ability to offer practical guidance that ensures transactions proceed within a disciplined risk framework. Key responsibilities include evaluating transactional risk, determining insurability, and identifying legal and title risks to develop practical, insurable solutions. The Senior Commercial Counsel will also serve as a primary point of contact for various stakeholders on active commercial files and provide guidance on title, survey, and closing issues in sophisticated transactions. Applicants for the Senior Commercial Counsel position at the company should hold a Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and be admitted to practice law in Florida, with a preference for those with 10+ years of experience in commercial real estate and/or title insurance matters, particularly within a national or multi-state platform. The role requires a strong familiarity with title insurance principles, endorsements, and closing practices, as well as experience in working with title agents, national accounts, and multi-jurisdictional transactions. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to manage high-volume workflows while maintaining attention to detail and risk awareness.
