Job Title: Sanitation TQ Lead

Reports To: Department Supervisor

FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt

3rd Shift

Hours: Sunday, 8:00pm-6:30am, Monday-Thursday, 10:30pm-7:00am

Overtime required based on production need.

$21.00/hour

 

Operates or directs other workers to operate mixing machine to blend ingredients into compounds for processing by performing the following duties:

Other duties may be assigned.

• Collects the production paperwork and electronic pad and accessories for Batch Master.
• Verifies the production room has been sanitized by sanitation employees and swabbed by QA Techs.
• Verifies the titration of all chemicals. 
• Verifies the temperature, consistency, salt, and/or color of the product.
• Verifies the calibration of load cells.
• Verifies ingredients prior to the start of the batch mixing.
• Cleans and sanitizes mixing tanks, kettles, pick system, pumps, pipes, blenders and/or hoppers.
• Sets an example for all employees in the areas of personnel and food safety.
• Immediately relays any problems or concerns with product or the sanitation cleaning process to the Department Supervisor.
• Performs job duties of the Process Techs in their absence.
• Give direction to sanitation employees on how to perform their sanitation duties. 
• Clean and sanitize drains and floors. 
• Uses chemicals and equipment to sanitize and clean multiple areas. 
• Disassembles, sanitizes and cleans pipes, pumps and other production equipment. 
• Transports trash and waste to disposal area. 
• In certain areas, sorts and place leftover pallets in designated area at the end of the shift. 
• Required to become a licensed forklift operator.

Language Skills 

Must be able to speak, read and write in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
