Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting during night shift hours
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for emergency patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
• Participate in on-call rotation every other weekend as required by the unit
• Comply with facility emergency event protocols, which may include assignment to an Emergency Team during critical events as directed by unit management

Required Qualifications

• Active Compact or Louisiana RN license in hand at time of submittal
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Room nursing
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI certifications required
• Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (as reflected on driver's license)
• NURSYS report required and must be current within 4 weeks of submission date
• Two Manager or Supervisor references required prior to contract start (Charge RN references are not accepted); must be submitted in PDF format

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in an Emergency Room specialty
• Familiarity with facility-based orientation modules and compliance processes
