• Location : Near Red House, Virginia
• Dates : December 27, 2024 December 30, 2024
• Coverage Type : Call only (beeper)
• Practice Setting : Inpatient
• Patients Per Shift : Varies
• Rounding : Both inpatient and outpatient rounding required

• Board Certification : Must be board-certified or board-eligible in General Surgery
• Licensure : Must hold an active Virginia medical license
• Experience : Prior experience in general surgery, including adult and pediatric cases

The ideal candidate should be proficient in the following:

• Laparoscopic surgery
• Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, and Hernioplasty
• Trauma surgery
• Breast and head/neck surgeries
• Endoscopic procedures (Upper GI, Lower GI)
• Chest tube insertion and central line placement
• Minor orthopedic and vascular surgeries

• Temporary Privileges Available : Yes
• Trauma Level : 0
• EMR Systems : Athena and Meditech
• Support Staff : Includes 34 RNs; no residents or teaching supervision required
• Response Time : 30 minutes for call-backs

• Travel Costs : Provided by the vendor
• Nearest Airport : Recommendations provided upon assignment confirmation
• Lodging : Assistance available
