Job Full Description MIG Welder - Baton Rouge Evaluation Hire $18/hr Mon-Friday 4 am - 12:30 pm Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing and recruiting firm, is currently hiring for a MIG Welder for a client in Baton Rouge . The ideal candidate is someone who is entry-level and out of school, looking to get a foot in the door with a welding career, or has been a welder helper and is looking to start welding.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Mig welding and repairing metal crates and components.
- Installation of welding stations.
- Preparation of the shop, cleaning, removal of grease marks.
- Set up welding machines.
- Handling, welding, assembling parts, grinding, cutting, folding and shaping components.
- Inspecting crates before they leave.
- Any other duties needed in the shop or facility.
- Must be able to follow instructions
- Welding certification or welding schooling preferred but not required.
- Past experience as a welder helper preferred but not required.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Ability to work in a hot environment and be on your feet.
- Varying standing and sitting for extended periods throughout the day.
- Occasional lifting, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.
- Exposure to varying environments including loud, hot, and smoke-filled areas.
