Job Description

Position Title: Lead CNC Machinist

A Lead CNC Machinist is sought for a pivotal role working with plastic molding machines on 3-axis CNC systems. This position is critical as it supports the transition of responsibilities due to an upcoming retirement. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and demonstrate leadership qualities. The role involves both team management and hands-on machining, providing a balanced opportunity for technical and interpersonal development. Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of four individuals while also engaging in machining and mold making tasks
• Operate 3-axis CNC milling machines exclusively
• Utilize the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) to manage production runs
• Conduct one-on-one meetings with team members to monitor performance
• Participate in a robust management and leadership training program

Requirements:

• 5-10 years of experience running 3-axis CNC machines, ideally with plastics
• Strong technical skills with a desire to lead and support team success
• Empathy and willingness to assist others in their growth
• Understanding of the full life cycle of mold production, including design interpretation, CNC programming, machining, and final mold assembly and repair is preferred
