Location: New York, NY Industry: Public Accounting Compensation: $120,000-$250,000 About the Opportunity A leading public accounting firm is seeking a Tax Manager / Senior Tax Manager to join its Business Tax Services practice in New York. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tax professional specializing in real estate and private equity funds to work with a high-profile client base while leading complex tax engagements and contributing to the continued growth of a nationally recognized practice. The Role As a Tax Manager / Senior Tax Manager, you will manage a portfolio of real estate investment fund and REIT clients, providing strategic tax planning, compliance, and advisory services. You'll oversee engagement teams, build strong client relationships, and collaborate with senior leadership to deliver technical excellence while supporting business development initiatives. Key Responsibilities Manage a diverse portfolio of real estate investment fund, private equity fund, and REIT clients Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and develop long-term relationships Lead tax compliance, planning, and advisory engagements for complex partnership structures Supervise, mentor, and develop tax professionals across multiple client engagements Research complex tax issues and provide practical, commercially focused recommendations Advise clients on partnership taxation, REIT qualification, transaction structuring, due diligence, and acquisition/disposition planning Oversee engagement workflow, budgets, billing, collections, and project profitability (Senior Manager level) Collaborate with leadership on business development initiatives and identifying new market opportunities Maintain high-quality client service while ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget Candidate Profile Bachelor's degree required Licensed CPA, EA, JD, or LL.M.
