Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a crucial role in our patients' recovery journey by:

• Supporting Physical Therapists during comprehensive evaluations to assess the physical capabilities of each patient.
• Implementing and modifying treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists to improve mobility and strength in patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries and injuries.
• Utilizing hands-on manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises specifically tailored to treat musculoskeletal conditions, including but not limited to joint replacements and sports injuries.
• Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and allied healthcare professionals, to develop an integrated approach to patient care.
• Providing education to patients and families about treatment protocols, home exercise programs, and relevant injury prevention strategies.
• Accurately documenting treatment interventions and patient progress in compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal protocols.
• Engaging in ongoing professional development, attending workshops, and pursuing advanced certifications to further your expertise in orthopedic rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population ranging from young athletes recovering from injuries to older adults experiencing age-related musculoskeletal conditions. Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Graduation from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
• Possession of a valid California PTA license and an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Physical Therapy Assisting.
