Athletic Trainer

Athletic Trainer Location: US-AL-Daleville Overview Cognito Systems, a Mentor‑Protege Joint Venture between QuarterLine Consulting Services and Resolution Think, supports the health and readiness of those who serve our nation. Cognito Systems is looking for dedicated certified Athletic Trainers to join the U.S. Army's Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) program at Ft. Rucker in Daleville, AL. This role is part of the Army's largest human performance optimization initiative and aims to increase ACFT pass rates, reduce musculoskeletal injuries, and improve behavioral health. Role and Responsibilities Work collaboratively with a diverse team that may include physical therapists, strength and conditioning coaches, dietitians, cognitive performance experts, and occupational therapists. Deliver prevention‑focused care, acute injury management, and rehabilitation for musculoskeletal injuries. Engage in performance‑optimization strategies addressing the five H2F readiness domains: physical, mental, nutritional, sleep, and spiritual. Support unit leaders with evidence‑based strategies to reduce injuries, promote recovery, and enhance overall unit readiness. Leverage data and tools developed by the Center for Initial Military Training to track and improve performance outcomes. Play a key role in improving soldier performance, ACFT pass rates, and resilience across the force. Minimum Requirements Degree: Bachelor’s Degree. Education: Graduate from a college or university accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). Must pass the BOC exam for Athletic Trainers and hold an NPI. Certification: Unrestricted state license, registration, or certification in any of the 49 regulated states, the District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands. Experience: Two years of relevant Athletic Training work experience within the last three years, preferably with active populations such as military, high‑school, collegiate, professional sports, performing arts, or occupational health. Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship. Credentialing: Ability to pass a background check and drug screen. Current physical and immunizations. Physical Demands The role is dynamic and on‑site, requiring adaptability in a fast‑paced and multifaceted environment. Duties may shift throughout the workday, and interaction with soldiers will be hands‑on and proactive. The trainer must be able to lift up to 45 pounds and spend extended time on feet, in the elements, while carrying supplies.
