JOB OVERVIEW Job Title: Physician Gastroenterology Job Type: Contract / Locum Tenens Location: Albuquerque, NM Service Setting: Primarily Inpatient Hospital-Based GI Lab Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: Starting 09/14/2026 Ongoing Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM Weekends/Holidays: No weekends; holidays may be required PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Population: Adult Gastroenterology & Hepatology patients Procedure Volume: Approximately 810 procedures daily Case Mix: Predominantly inpatient scopes and GI procedures Additional Cases: - Esophageal food bolus impactions - Occasional inpatient GI consults - Hepatology-related procedures FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic Primary Worksite: Main Hospital GI Lab Reason for Coverage: Ongoing locum coverage needs REQUIRED PROCEDURES Upper GI Endoscopy Foreign Body Removal Fulguration of Bleeders (Cautery) Banding of Varices
