Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Job OverviewThe Senior Engineer EPT will help define, develop, and implement future-state ERP operating models for manufacturing. This role partners across operations, engineering, IT, and business teams to translate shop-floor needs into practical process and system solutions from production picking through fabrication, assembly, material movement, quality, labor, training, and final packaging. The role applies lean thinking to simplify work, improve flow, reduce waste, and ensure future-state solutions enable effective enterprise transformation.Highlights of your roleDefine detailed business processes and requirements for ERP manufacturing functionality, including picking, fabrication, assembly, material movement, quality, labor, and packaging.Apply lean principles to evaluate current and future-state processes, identify waste, improve flow, and align system design with efficient manufacturing execution.Lead cross-functional requirements gathering using interviews, workshops, value stream mapping and shop-floor observation.Translate manufacturing needs into clear business requirements, process flows, user experience expectations, test scenarios, training needs, and governance standards.Partner with operations, engineering, IT, business process owners, and site stakeholders to align future-state processes with practical production requirements and lean operating practices.Guide workstation and production execution design needs, including operator interfaces, material visibility, pick lists, work order status, displays, and workflow requirements.Identify requirements for constraints, part re-ordering, labor distribution, training tracking, performance KPIs, and production visibility.Use structured problem-solving methods to define root causes, evaluate process gaps, and recommend practical system-enabled improvements.Lead project activities, assign follow-up actions, coordinate resources, and drive deliverables to completion.Must be willing and able to travel up to 25% and 50% to enable site engagement, process discovery, implementation activities, training, and cross-functional alignment.Communicate project updates, requirements decisions, milestones, issues, and recommendations to team members, leadership, and key stakeholders.You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, material flow, information flow, workstation design, shop-floor execution, and lean operating practices.Ability to apply lean concepts to process and system design, improving visibility, reducing variation, and enabling simplified work.Ability to define and document business requirements, process flows, use cases, user experience needs, and system testing expectations.Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and influence diverse groups across manufacturing, engineering, operations, IT, and leadership.Strong facilitation, presentation, communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder influence skills.Ability to mentor, coach, and support team members by sharing knowledge, building capability, and helping others develop.Creative thinker and change agent with the ability to challenge current processes and guide adoption of new ways of working.Ability to manage multiple priorities and contribute to small and large project efforts in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.Strong business acumen with the ability to convert detailed information into insights, recommendations, and business impact.Self-motivated, adaptable, and committed to team success, continuous learning, and practical solution development.Also want to make sure you haveBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Business, or a related field preferred.Five or more years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, operations, continuous improvement, systems implementation, or related process improvement work preferred.Experience with production process design, material flow, information flow, and continuous improvement concepts preferred.Experience supporting ERP, MES, or other manufacturing technology implementations preferred; D365 experience is beneficial.Demonstrated experience leading project tasks, facilitating group discussions, and communicating effectively with business and technical stakeholders required.Experience with Microsoft Office tools and the ability to develop clear documentation, presentations, and stakeholder updates required.We invite you to See Yourself at MarvinFrom people to products, Marvin is committed to creating better ways of living.
