After initial training in-person, this specific role could have the flexibility to work from home up to 3 days per week.**Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an experienced PIP Claims Representative. The position requires the following but is not limited to:* Investigate and assemble facts, determine policy coverage, evaluate the amount of loss, and pay benefits that are owed.* Review medical bills, authorize payments and ensure payments are issued in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with the Michigan No Fault Statute.* Work toward the resolution of claims, and attend arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials as necessary.* Service the needs of agents, policyholders and others.* Handle investigations by phone and mail.* Conduct claim investigations on complex claims.**Desired Skills & Experience*** Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.* Two or more years of insurance claims handling experience, preferably in PIP claims or related experience.* Educational coursework in insurance are desirable.* Above average communication skills (written and verbal).* Ability to resolve complex issues.* Organize and interpret data.* Ability to handle multiple assignments with attention to detail.**Benefits**Auto-Owners offers a wide range of career opportunities, and we are seeking talent that will help us continue our long tradition of success.
