Remove unwanted or unhealthy plants, shrubs, trees, and downed limbs. Operate hand tools and power equipment, including mowers, leaf‑blowers, snowblowers, tillers, backhoes, and tractors. Water lawns and gardens. Rake leaves and other vegetation from lawns and flower beds. Remove trash and debris from outdoor areas. Operate snow removal equipment and shovels for walkways. Collaborate with maintenance crew and construction specialists as needed. Assist or perform minor maintenance such as replacing light bulbs, adjusting furniture, or similar tasks. Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices. Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Physical Stamina: Ability to perform heavy manual labor, lifting, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Tool Proficiency: Experience using landscaping hand tools and power equipment. Knowledge of Gardening Techniques: Understanding of gardening techniques, plant material, and safe handling of fertilizers/pesticides. Ability to manage multiple projects. Ability to understand and follow safety procedures. Ability to operate hand and power tools applicable to trade. Ability to understand written and verbal communications. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma. Experience: Previous landscaping or groundskeeping experience. Working Conditions: Physical work is approximately 70% of the job; may require lifting, pushing, or pulling objects up to 50 pounds. Salary and Benefits Base salary ranges from $18 to $24 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
