Field Application EngineerSalary: $67,000Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required; BSME, BSIE, or BSEE is required.Position SummaryThe Field Application Engineer is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment or systems at customer sites or company facilities. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service. With significant travel, this position ensures that the equipment provided is always maintained and in top working order.Duties and ResponsibilitiesTravel extensively, including cross-country, to various locations.Install, troubleshoot, and repair equipment or systems according to specifications and safety standards.Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance.Diagnose technical issues and determine appropriate solutions.Provide technical support and guidance to customers.Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and parts used.Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.Communicate effectively and professionally with customers and team members to ensure satisfaction.Provide production support in assembly and routine testing of products used in field applications.Assist the Product Division and Sales Department by solving field problems, clarifying customer requirements, and providing technical product support.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education and Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required; BSME, BSIE, or BSEE is required.A minimum of two years of experience in field service, maintenance, or equipment installation is required. Hydraulic systems experience is preferred.Familiarity and experience with hand and power tools are required.A minimum of two years' experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required.Knowledge of fluid power is preferred.Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.Skills and Abilities:Experience as a Field Application Engineer or in a similar technical role is preferred.Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical and electrical systems are required.Strong mechanical and electrical aptitudes are required.Strong problem-solving skills are required.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively is required.Familiarity with hydraulic filtration systems and fluid power components is preferred.Experience using diagnostic tools and software is preferred.Certificates and Licenses:A valid driver's license is required.A valid passport is preferred.Certified Fluid Power – Hydraulic Specialist certification is preferred. A willingness to obtain certification is required.Other Requirements:Traveling (including driving) is required.
