Per Diem Hospital Staff Pharmacist - Lewes, DE

Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Provide essential pharmacy services as a Staff Pharmacist in a hospital setting from July 7, 2026, through July 22, 2026. This per diem opportunity requires a dedicated professional to support pharmacy operations during regular business hours, with occasional weekend, after-hours, or on-call coverage.

Location: Lewes, DE
Schedule:

8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Weekend, after-hours, or on-call shifts as needed

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver accurate and timely pharmacy services consistent with hospital protocols
Utilize Wellsky hospital pharmacy information system for medication management
Operate Pyxis automation system efficiently
Perform IV compounding duties (non-chemotherapy medications)
Support pharmacy staff consisting of 1 pharmacist and 1 technician
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during all processes

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Licensed and experienced Staff Pharmacist with hospital pharmacy background
Proficient with well-known hospital pharmacy systems, including Wellsky and Pyxis
Skilled in IV compounding procedures (excluding chemotherapy)
Knowledge of hospital pharmacy workflows and ability to work independently in a small team environment
Flexibility to handle occasional weekend, after-hours, and on-call coverage
