OTR Drivers Wanted - Starting Pay $0.80 Per Mile
Location: Nationwide Over-the-Road (OTR)
Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
Pay: $0.80 per mile (all dispatched miles) + Additional Compensation
About the Opportunity
PowerHouse Logistics is seeking highly experienced and professional CDL-A Drivers to operate Company-Owned Equipment on long-haul routes. This is a 1099 role you set your schedule, we handle the fun stuff, dispatching, maintenance, fuel, etc . Were looking for responsible drivers who are committed to safety, punctuality, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and take care of Company-Owned Equipment
- Goal is to complete a minimum of 3,000 miles per week
- Ensure safe, on-time delivery of all dispatched loads
- Accurately maintain logs and records via company supplied ELD
- Comply with all DOT, FMCSA, and Company safety regulations
Compensation & Benefits
- $0.80 per mile paid on all dispatched miles (loaded)
- Full Layover pay for loading/unloading: 100% to Driver when broker/shipper approved
- Detention pay: 50/50 split when broker/shipper approved
- Weekly pay paid every Friday for prior weeks work
- All operating expenses covered : fuel, maintenance, insurance, ELD, and GPS
Contractor Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable CDL-A driving experience
- 2 consecutive years of a clean driving record (no accidents or major violations)
- Valid Class A CDL and current DOT medical card
- Professional appearance and strong communication skills
- Must meet 3,000 mile weekly minimum
- Capable of maintaining and returning equipment in clean, working condition
- Willing to operate as a 1099 contractor (no benefits; self-responsible for taxes)
Independent Contractor Terms
- You are not an employee; you control your own schedule
- We provide the Equipment, fuel, insurance, and maintenance
- You cover personal travel expenses (meals, lodging, etc.)
- Misuse of equipment or Company fuel cards may result in termination
- Non-solicitation and confidentiality clauses apply
- Disputes resolved via binding arbitration in Arizona
