Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >80 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Sanford Health.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Previous Sanford Health employment must be disclosed in the submission, and prior Sanford employment must have ended at least 6 months before the submission date. Must take a full 6 months off from any Good Samaritan Society and Marshfield Clinic Health System location as well. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.

Unit Details: Mostly observation patients, including chest pains, abdominal pains, hysterectomies, knee scopes, adult tonsillectomies, appendectomies, hernias, and infusion patients needing blood or antibiotics twice a day. Will also receive inpatients expected to discharge in less than 48 hours. High-turnover environment with 12 admissions and 10 discharges in 12 hours. Pre- and post-op observation care, IV starts, and dressing changes. Uses Acu-dose for narcotic dispensing and medication scanning.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend and holiday.

Floating Requirements: May float to other Med-Surg areas and will follow the same floating rotation as permanent staff.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
