Sales Representative

Position Purpose To proactively identify and engage potential clients and brokers. This is a dual role, specializing in highlighting the advantages of our commercial health plans, with opportunities to promote our Medicare Advantage offerings. The main goal of our Sales Representative is to close deals as well as increase our Medicare membership and expand our Medicare broker network. Essential Position Functions

• Conduct all phases of the sales cycle: identify, qualify, and meet with prospective clients.
• Generate leads through cold calling, referrals, and community outreach.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with referral sources such as community organizations, senior housing developments, small and large employer groups in our footprint, agencies and brokers, and financial planners.
• Promote Medicare Advantage plans to eligible beneficiaries and certified brokers.
• Qualify and enroll Medicare beneficiaries in compliance with CMS regulations.
• Complete and submit enrollment forms for closed sales.
• Build and maintain a robust network of Commercial and Medicare brokers.
• Represent the company at tradeshows, networking events, and promotional activities.
• Monitor market trends, conditions, and competitor activity.
• Collaborate with the Director of Sales to develop and execute tactical sales plans.
• Work cross-functionally to ensure smooth coordination of member group activities.
• Manage sales and marketing collateral.
• Process and maintain member eligibility information.
• Act as a liaison for assigned members, resolving complex eligibility issues and reconciling enrollment discrepancies.
• Respond to inquiries from internal departments and external stakeholders (e.g., CMS, DHS).

Minimum Requirements of the Position

• Associate's degree required, bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of marketing, sales, or community relations experience.
• Hold a current State of Wisconsin Accident & Health Insurance License.
• Current AHIP/Medicare Certified or obtain it within 30 days of starting the position.
• Satisfactory completion of Cooperative Advantage agent product training annually.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license and own a vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided).
• Excellent presentation, written, and oral communication skills, including public speaking.
• Must be independent, confident, and highly motivated with a high energy to meet set deadlines and goals.
• Must be willing to travel within our service area.

• Independent, confident, and highly motivated with sensitivity to Medicaid & Medicare-eligible populations.
