Purpose The Technical Director will report to the Director, Autonomous Operations, Americas and be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of Autonomous Operations within Onshore O&G across the Americas. This includes aligning strategic direction, pursuing and winning work, managing resources, building and leading a technical team with expertise in autonomous and automated projects, and driving vertical P&L, operational performance and continuous improvement. Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities Work with Regional leadership and Digital COE to adopt and deploy vision and strategy in key markets. Manage a team focused on LEBIT growth targets, talent development and capability growth. Drive customer and market focus towards increased sales with growth targets. Collaborate and develop integrated offerings with Worley Consulting. Provide regional reporting to support pipeline growth and operational performance. Deliver short to mid‑term complex digital customer engagements, including user requirements, solutioning, implementation, change management and value realization. Lead and manage teams of varying size to successfully execute engagements and achieve targets. Close deals, navigate client decision‑making, prepare proposals and contracts. Accountable for sales targets, process compliance and LEBIT targets; propose alternative commercial models to enhance financial performance. Assist with sales pursuits, including responses to RFPs and short engagements to frame client problems and sell solutions. Pursue continuous improvement and identify opportunities to digitally enable practice operations. Attract, retain and develop talent. Travel as required for various field programs. What you will bring Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements 10+ years of experience delivering projects involving advanced automation technologies and integrated multi‑technology solutions. Industry experience as an owner/vendor or system integrator in one or more key verticals (O&G, Refining, Chemical, etc.). Experience running a P&L or strong understanding of P&L fundamentals and analysis. Facilitating workshops, client discovery meetings, strategic advisory and consulting. Program/project management experience, with a focus on performance improvement and operations. Driven, high energy, presence/gravitas, practical intelligence, people person. Proven ability to attract, retain and develop talent. Demonstrated experience with targeting and selling through networking. Excellent analytical, research and detail‑oriented skills. Excellent communication and listening skills. Excellent business/commercial acumen and ability to influence at all organizational levels. Innovative, flexible, decisive and able to think outside the box. Keeps informed on technological developments and evaluates readiness for scale implementation. Willingness to travel 25‑35%. Required Education Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Computer Systems, Mechanical, Chemical engineering, or related field; must be eligible to obtain a P.Eng. or P.E. license where the role is based.
