Janitor

P osition T ype /E xpected H ours of W ork – ​ Part-time up to 30 hours per week, including some weekends and holiday work, depending on needs related to the contract . ​ This position will work Tuesday, Thursday, and Alternating Saturday and Sundays from 6:30am-3pm.

Q ualifications - ​ Experience in janitorial work preferred . Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance . Must be capable of moving up and down stairs without difficulty . Must be capable of working on feet for extended periods of time . Must provide your own transportation to work . Mus t be able to read and identify SD S sheets and various chemical labels and markings . Must be willing to learn proper use of cleaning agents and usage of various supplies . Must be willing to learn proper maintenance and safety features of both light and heavy custodial equipment. ​

W ork A uthorization /S ecurity C learance – ​ Authorized to work in the United States. ​

S ummary /O bjective - ​ Perform general cleaning tasks and maintain work areas as assigned. ​

• Use high and low speed maintenance equipment as assigned.

• Use carpet cleaning equipment as assigned.

• Trash removal.

• Sweep/mop/dust/vacuum as assigned.

• Wet mop.

• Perform restroom disinfectant and cleaning as assigned.

• Perform floor stripping and waxing applications.

• Wash windows .

• Monitor use of equipment and report any malfunctions or problems to supervisor .
