Location Avera Behavioral Health Center – Sioux Falls Worker Type Regular Work Shift Rotating days/evenings/nights, weekends, holidays (United States of America) Pay Range $24.50 - $33.75 per hour (actual pay dependent upon experience) Position Highlights This position may be eligible for a Sign On Bonus. 3+ years of experience nurses receive benefits on every 3rd weekend and every other holiday. Adult C Unit is a 26-bed unit designed to be a structured, therapeutic environment for adults to learn to understand their diagnosis, develop a Crisis Response Plan, use healthy coping skills, and set and complete goals. Student Loan Repayment An LPN position is eligible for Avera’s Student Loan Repayment Program, which helps pay off loans. Responsibilities Collects data and conducts a focused nursing assessment of the health status of a patient. Participates with other health care providers in the development and modification of the patient-centered health care plan. Implements nursing interventions within a patient-centered health care plan. Assists in the evaluation of responses to interventions. Provides for the maintenance of safe and effective nursing care rendered directly or indirectly. Advocates for the best interest of the patient. Communicates and collaborates with patients and members of the health care team. Assists with health counseling and teaching. Delegates and assigns nursing interventions to implement the plan of care. Qualifications Must be able to work the specified hours. Must possess visual acuity adequate for the duties, communicate effectively, hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds.
