Job Description
Title: Registered Nurse - Neuro PCU

Schedule: Nights, 12 hours (7 PM - 7:15 AM), Every Other Weekend/Holiday

Assignment Details: Contract Length: 13 weeks, Guaranteed Hours: 36

Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience
- Neuro PCU Experience
- Active Michigan License
- Active American Heart Association BLS
- Active American Heart Association ACLS
- Active NIHSS Certification
- Skills Checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty (PCU)
- 2 Supervisory Reference Forms completed within the last two years

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Regularly assess patient needs and provide skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician's plan of care and accepted standards of evidence-based nursing practice.
- Provide direct patient care including medication administration, treatments, education, and assistance with transfers.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and collaborate with team members to update/revise treatment as needed.
- Act as a team leader/member and resource to others, delegating and overseeing support staff.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to establish goals and outcomes for each patient.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines relating to care provided in the medical center.
