Electrical Engineer

Markon is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support construction projects at the Knolls Site. This role will work within a project team environment to define project scope, develop technical documentation, review drawings, and provide engineering support during the construction phase for building and utility projects. The Electrical Engineer will coordinate with sponsors, facility staff, contractors, and architectural engineering firms to support successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Support construction projects within a project team environment
• Develop and define project scope with project sponsors
• Develop specifications, cost estimates, and drawing reviews
• Provide electrical engineering support during construction phases for building and utility projects
• Oversee architectural engineering firms in the development of concept designs, construction documents, and cost estimates
• Coordinate and interact with facility staff and contractors
• Perform electrical engineering calculations and technical evaluations
• Support construction administration activities including submittal reviews, RFIs, and construction inspections

Qualifications

• Must have active DOE L clearance or a DoD secret clearance to be considered
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Experience performing electrical engineering tasks, including development of contract documents, calculations, and cost estimates
• Working knowledge of building codes and standards
• Experience with construction administration, including submittal review, RFIs, and construction inspections
• Potential for telework up to 20%

Desired

• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Engineering consulting experience
• Working knowledge of the NEC

Pay Scale:

• 0-9 years of experience - $120,000-$127,000
• 10+ years of experience - $128,000-$145,000

Salary Range

USD $120,000.00 - USD $145,000.00 /Yr. The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
