Description of Typical Work Schedule: 6am 2pm every Thursday, Friday and Saturday plus every other Holiday, OR 6am 2pm every Sunday, Monday and Tuesday plus every other Holiday

Purpose

Prepare meals in large batches to be distributed to clients. Individually prepare and/or create meals for clients based on their needs.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock.
• Ensure food is stored and cooked at the correct temperature by regulating the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
• Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment, work surfaces, and serving areas, to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices.
• Measure portions, arrange, and garnish food, and serve food to waiters or patrons.
• Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment, using various kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience.
• Wash, peel, cut, and seed fruits and vegetables to prepare them for consumption.
• Bake, roast, broil, and steam meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods.
• Observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, using methods such as tasting, smelling, or piercing them with utensils.
• Maintain food, beverage, or equipment inventories.
• Clean food preparation areas, facilities, or equipment.

Medium work. Exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

This factor is important if the amount and kind of climbing required exceeds that required for ordinary locomotion. Lifting Raise objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires substantial use of upper extremities and back muscles. Fingering/Grasping Pick, pinch, type or otherwise work, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling. Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm. Feeling Perceive attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips. Standing Particularly for sustained periods of time. Walking Move about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another. Pushing Use upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.Pulling Use upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion. Speech Clarity/Talking Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly. Includes the ability to understand the speech of another person. Hearing Perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures.
