Automation Tester, Commercial & Investment Bank

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We require formal training or certification in software engineering concepts along with 2+ years of applied experience.
• We require U.S. citizenship.
• We need hands-on experience in QA automation, SDET, or test engineering.
• We need strong programming skills in at least one of the following: Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or Java, with the ability to design and maintain frameworks and debug effectively.
• We need practical experience with UI automation and backend/API automation, with emphasis on quality and maintainability.
• We expect solid knowledge of testing practices, including functional, regression, negative testing, and test design, plus strong QA fundamentals.
• We require working knowledge of databases and SQL for validating and verifying test data.
• We need hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools in the work environment, with the ability to assess, validate, and refine AI-generated output for correctness, performance, and security.
• We expect understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, and resiliency and security expectations.
• We require exposure to agile practices such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• Preferred experience includes Playwright and/or Selenium.
• Preferred exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter or similar.
• Preferred cloud experience, such as AWS, and experience scaling test execution through parallelization and containers.
• Preferred track record of improving pipeline reliability, reducing flaky tests, strengthening test data strategy, and improving observability and metrics.

• We execute software solutions through design, development, and technical troubleshooting, using creative approaches to solve complex technical problems.
• We use enterprise-authorized AI coding tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity across complex work, while validating results through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards.
• We apply tools from the software development life cycle toolchain, including AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value delivered through automation.
• We create secure, high-quality production code and maintain synchronous algorithms.
• We produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure software code aligns with design constraints.
• We gather, analyze, synthesize, and visualize large and varied data sets to support continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
• We identify hidden issues and patterns in data to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
• We contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events focused on emerging technologies.
