Join us in making a real difference in the health of our community.Job SummaryWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pulmonary Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll play a vital part in delivering comprehensive Pulmonary care to patients, working closely with an interdisciplinary team in both long-term care and acute settings.This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients while growing professionally within a supportive, mission-driven environment.Responsibilities• Provide pulmonology consults in nursing home and long-term care settings• Assess and manage respiratory conditions such as COPD, asthma, sleep apnea, and chronic respiratory failure• Conduct respiratory-focused evaluations and interpret pulmonary tests and imaging• Manage oxygen therapy, inhalers, nebulizer treatments, and other respiratory medications• Collaborate with pulmonologists and interdisciplinary teams• Educate residents and families on respiratory disease management and smoking cessation• Maintain accurate EMR documentation and participate in quality improvement initiativesQualifications• Minimum of 6 months of experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility (Hospital/outpatient office experience will also be considered)• Active and unrestricted NP license • DEA license required • CPR certification (BCLS/BLS)• Master's degree in Nursing (NP applicants) • Graduation from an accredited NP program• Preferred: Experience in Pulmonary (training available if not)• Preferred: Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., Sigma, Visual, PCC – training provided)• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skillsEqual Opportunity EmployerEssen Health care is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, and we seek candidates who desire to work in and serve an ethnically diverse population.
