Job description: Manufacturing EngineerFull Time Jackson, TN, USSummaryWe are seeking a talented and highly motivated Manufacturing Engineer witha proven track record of implementing best-in-class processes within acomplex manufacturing environment. This role will report to the EngineeringManager and is an integral member of the Engineering team. You will workcross-functionally to implement manufacturing improvements and drivedata-driven root cause solutions to technical problems. He/She appreciates an environment where superior workis encouraged, noticed, and rewarded and where individuals carrytremendous responsibility.Essential Functions: Responsible for ensuring manufacturing lines meet uptime, availability,and reliability metrics OEE, capacity, cycle time, quality, and first-pass yield. Continuously improve reliability metrics and utilize these metrics torecommend innovative solutions based on data-driven analyses. Own individual workstations, tools, and production lines, and presentperiodic updates to management on the health of the owned areas. Apply Design for X (DfX) principles to propose improvements of legacyproducts and during the new product introduction (NPI) process. Design tooling, fixtures, and automated systems to manufactureproducts at the lowest cost and shortest cycle time. Qualify production processes based on dimensional data, control plans,and PFMEAs. Ability to program parts for production on Mazak and Tsugamiequipment using Solid Cam and MasterCam Software. Work with suppliers and customers to understand the root cause offailures, propose process and design changes, and implement andvalidate proposed modifications. Develop and deliver training to operations and maintenancetechnicians to ensure the seamless handover of new equipment. Train production teams on new processes and techniques.Collaboratewith all cross-functional team members to understand challenges andutilize feedback supported by data to improve manufacturingoperations. Other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in manufacturing, industrial, mechanical,electrical engineering, or related technical degree (ABET-accreditedengineering degree preferred). Minimum five (5) years manufacturing and/or equivalent combinationof education and experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong understanding of statistics. Experience with improving quality and cost in a manufacturingenvironment. Experience with Tableau, Minitab, SQL, and SolidWorks (or similar CADsoftware) desired. Prior CNC or manual machining experience beneficial. Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-pacedenvironment, occasionally requiring extended hours. Occasional domestic and international travel required.Preferred Qualifications Engineering or Business Masters Degree (MBA). Six Sigma Black Belt (preferably awarded from a world-classmanufacturing organization). Experience with automating production processes. Experience in lean manufacturing implementation. Experience with CNC machining, assembly processes, and/ordistribution and logistics is beneficial. Experience with Fanuc and Mazatrol controls. Qualifications: While mechanical engineer or related degree is nice, experience with G-Code and MasterCam recent G-CODE experience required. This is DAY shift role, great company, solid benefits.
