As a Security Officer Patrol in Bland, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication while responding to security-related needs. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities at an industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, loading docks, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and incoming personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
