Principal Quant DeveloperNote: Fidelity will not provide immigration sponsorship for this position.The RoleWe are seeking a Principal Quant Developer to join our Quantitative Research and Investments Technology (QRIT) team in Fidelity Asset Management Technology. This role will partner with the quant research and investments teams to design, build, enhance, and support a comprehensive portfolio optimization and back testing ecosystem. This individual will include hands on development collaborating with team of software engineers and quantitative developers.The Expertise and Skills You BringMinimum of 7 years of proven professional experience working in financial services (Asset Management experienced preferred)Prior experience leveraging industry scale optimization libraries (Matlab Linear, Gurobi, Cplex, Axioma, Gurobi, or SciPy)Experience with Python and micro-services / RESTful APIsProven ability to design highly scalable and low latency systemsExperience working on AWS cloud environment and working knowledge of CI/CD and DevOpsStrong experience in system architecture, design patterns and software engineering fundamentals such as OOP, functional programming, data modeling.Advanced understanding of data structuresDemonstrated experience with portfolio construction and/or portfolio optimization is a plusProven ability to capture requirements and formulate plans by partnering with various stakeholdersStrong communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills to influence decisions and engage across Fidelity and at all levels of the organizationBachelor's degree in a computational field such as Computer Science, Master's degree is preferredFidelity's Onsite Working Model Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.The base salary range for this position is $107,000-216,000 USD per year.Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors.Base salary is only part of the total compensation package.
