Operating Room Circulator Nurse - Travel RN Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Days, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM, Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. Call and holiday coverage required. Job Description The Operating Room Circulator Nurse provides comprehensive perioperative nursing care across various surgical specialties within a Level III Trauma facility. This role is responsible for coordinating and managing patient care throughout the intraoperative phase, ensuring patient safety, maintaining regulatory compliance, and facilitating efficient surgical workflow. Specialties include General Surgery, Orthopedics, Gynecology (GYN), Robotics, Urology, Hand Surgery, Podiatry, and others as needed. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments and advocate for patient safety. Prepare for surgical cases, including equipment and supply management. Document patient care activities and handle specimens appropriately. Administer medications and coordinate multidisciplinary team activities. Ensure adherence to evidence-based practices and sterile technique standards. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 2 years of experience in perioperative nursing. BLS certification required; ACLS preferred. Experience in General, Ortho, OBGYN, Robotics, Urology, Hand, and Podiatry surgical procedures is essential. Familiarity with Medhost and PICIS EMR systems preferred. Active RN license required, with fingerprinting process completed as per state regulations.
