Senior Consultant

The Sr. Consultant has extensive experience performing detailed engineering design on technical aspects of projects. This individual performs engineering tasks on multiple projects and makes decisions and recommendations that are considered authoritative and have an important impact on engineering discipline design decisions. Responsibilities:Applies sound and diversified knowledge of discipline engineering principles and practices in broad areas of project assignmentsProvides non-managerial leadership to the engineering design teams as the technical design leader and leads the design team on technical issues on medium and large complex projectsProvides input to Project Managers and technical management concerning potential process and design improvements related to engineering design and technologyMaintains a high level of technical expertise in one or more engineering disciplines by identifying individual training needs and scheduling appropriate training programsInitiates and maintains extensive contacts with key engineers and officials in other organizations to confirm that engineering practices applied are consistent with current engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and current technological innovationsLeads training and development of other engineers to provide technical guidance and training related to engineering design and code compliance issues around engineering expertiseMaintains, implements, and monitors a system of quality control consistent with ENTRUST’s policies and proceduresPerforms all other duties as assignedMinimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university required; advanced degree preferred.10 years of related engineering experience required (may be reduced to 8 years with a Professional Engineer (PE) License).Strong understanding of engineering principles, industry standards, and energy/utility processes.Experience with engineering calculations, power flow, short circuit analysis, and technical documentation.Experience managing projects, including defining scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and deliverables.Ability to manage multiple complex projects, prioritize tasks, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.Ability to build effective relationships, demonstrate accountability, and deliver on customer commitments.Ability to interpret, follow, and recommend improvements to client and company standards, processes, and workflows.Preferred Qualifications:Professional Engineer (PE) License.Advanced engineering degree.Experience leading project teams and supporting complex utility programs.What We Offer:A supportive and inclusive work environment that values diversity and encourages innovation.Opportunities for professional growth and career development.Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including generous paid time off, retirement program with a company match, tuition reimbursement, and flexible work schedules.
