Ruby's Diner was established in 1982 in Newport Beach, CA, transforming an old bait shop into a nostalgic diner with authentic antique decor and friendly service. Today, Ruby's Diner has expanded to over 30 locations nationwide, committed to providing quality service and diner cuisine.

Join our team and be part of creating the Ruby's experience! Position activities and tasks include:

• Reporting to work in proper and clean uniform.
• Using greeting, seating, and waiting list procedures.
• Maintaining cleanliness standards and stocking for the reception area and restrooms.
• Accurately processing all guest checks with no cash overages or shortages.
• Anticipating, identifying, and correcting system breakdowns to achieve maximum guest satisfaction.
• Providing assistance to pantry maintenance and pre-rush organization.
• Assisting all servers and bus persons to execute Perkins service standards.
• Utilizing proper cash handling procedures to execute cash and non-cash transactions, counting change, security precautions, and cash accountability.
• Ensuring that the cash register and cash register area are stocked with all needed items.
• Communicating with Manager on Duty and co-workers regarding product/service deficiencies, equipment, safety problems, etc.
• Monitoring and overseeing food temperatures during hot and cold handling to reduce the incidence of risk factors known to cause food borne illness.
• Having sufficient knowledge of menu to execute suggestive selling techniques with all guests.
• Maintaining cleanliness of bakery cases and restocking.
• Having sufficient knowledge of bakery products to execute suggestive selling techniques and sampling programs with all guests.
• Bagging/boxing any products according to standards.
