Your Opportunity: The Albany, NY office is looking for anAviation Project Managerto join our team to help manage projects and grow our Albany Aviation group! This position will be responsible for helping grow our team and our aviation business out of the Albany office. It will also include winning, managing and delivering projects for clients at commercial service airports, general aviation airports and Department of Defense airport facilities within our Airport Infrastructure Sub-sector. Projects will include aviation infrastructure conceptual and final designs, technical reports and presentations, airspace analyses, master plan updates and other planning studies, construction or rehabilitation of airfield pavements such as runways, taxiways and aprons, and other miscellaneous improvements. This individual will work closely with the Albany Aviation Team Leader and the Airport Infrastructure Sector Leader to manage and grow the Albany Aviation Team. This individual will lead most aspects of projects from initial scoping through construction and project close-out. The Stantec Transportation group provides services to both private and public sector clients. While you will be focusing on work in New York and the Northeast, the successful candidate will also have opportunities to collaborate with our other teams across the United States and in Canada and support their project needs as opportunities arise. Your Key Responsibilities: Interface directly with clients that include various Airport Authorities, State Aviation Authorities, and Department of Defense representatives. Learn and maintain an in-depth knowledge of clients’ needs and standards and upcoming Capital Improvement Program(CIP) projects. Lead design objectives and advance airport projects through completion and final close-out. Prepare project Scope of Services and engineering fees, establish project goals, milestones, and procedures, define roles and responsibilities, coordinate projectresources, and monitor projectprogress. Work with the design team on deliverables, including preparation of drawings utilizingAutoCAD Civil 3D, preparation of project specifications and construction costestimates. Prepare grant administration paperwork for the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA’s) Airport Improvement Program (AIP), as well as State grantadministration. Provide guidance to Resident Engineers during construction with the ability and confidenceto solve problems asneeded. Lead the preparation of proposals and statements ofqualifications. Actively participates in the marketing process by delivering quality work, providingexcellent client service, and assisting with projectpursuits.
