Registered Nurse - Neuro ICU

Role Overview This position involves providing specialized neurocritical care to critically ill patients in a dedicated Neuro ICU. The nurse will assess complex neurological conditions, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and deliver compassionate, patient-centered care during critical recovery moments. Responsibilities Perform detailed neurological assessments and monitor patients with conditions such as traumatic brain injuries, stroke, hemorrhage, and neuromuscular disorders. Work collaboratively with neuro-intensivists, neurosurgeons, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals. Ensure patient safety, rapid clinical decision-making, and effective communication with patients and families. Maintain a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio, emphasizing teamwork and clinical excellence. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of one year of acute nursing experience. Current RN licensure in the appropriate state and BLS certification. Strong critical thinking, neuroanatomy knowledge, adaptability, and excellent communication skills.
