RN – Med-Surg

Shift: Nights

Shift Options: 36 or 48 hours

Assignment Details: Unit size: 32 beds

Requirements:

• Minimum: 1 year recent Med-Surg RN experience
• Required: BCLS
• Preferred: CPI
• Experience with core clinical skills: med-surg care, IV starts/maintenance, peripheral/PICC care, blood product administration, phlebotomy, wound care/Wound VAC, feeding tube care, oxygen/HFNC, non-invasive airway management, chest tubes, basic hemodialysis support
• Charting: Epic

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a medical-surgical setting.
• Monitor patient status and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver comprehensive care.
• Assist with procedures and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and health maintenance.

Compliance / Notes:

• 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period required
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Travelers expected to complete facility-required labs within 48 business hours of contract signature
• Pending NM/Compact license accepted but must be obtained prior to start
• Locals not accepted (50-mile radius)
