The Maintenance Technician will maintain and support all aspects of equipment used in manufacturing detectors and sources. Own and perform Facility Maintenance and Upkeep, working with outside vendors and service suppliers as needed. Own and perform Preventive Maintenance/Calibration on all equipment in Detector/Source Manufacturing. Troubleshoot and repair Detector/Source Manufacturing Equipment, down to board and circuit level, working with outside vendors and service suppliers as needed. Research, locate, and order parts needed to keep the equipment in good working order and maintain parts inventory. Modify and improve equipment for better processes. Recommend, build and maintain new production tooling, equipment Train others in performing Preventive Maintenance, and other related repairs. Other manufacturing, engineering, and facilities tasks, as needed

Qualifications: Mechanical and electrical aptitude required. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and manipulate objects; reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet or humid conditions non-weather related; and fumes or airborne particles.
