Revenue Accountant

Job ObjectiveRecords highly complicated oil and gas sales prior period adjustments to remedy sales variances and reconciles account receivables balances; as well as any ad hoc assignments.Essential Job ResponsibilitiesAbility to process Revenue Prior Period Adjustment by recording oil and gas sales revisions via SAP/PRA for a highly complicated asset for the purpose of reconciling Accounts Receivable.Assist in maintaining SAP master data setup and the ability to troubleshoot system errors.Work with team to review cash application and accounts receivable reconciliation report and assist in resolving outstanding balances by month for prior periods.Perform special projects as assigned that may require knowledge of oil and gas revenue accounting.Work closely with all members of gas marketing, revenue, land, division order, production accounting and IT to accomplish responsibilities.Other Job ResponsibilitiesSupport company vision and mission.Adhere to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings.Remain professional, positive, determined, and focused when facing challenging situations.Maintain employee confidence and protect company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential.Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Perform other duties as assigned by management.QualificationsSeven (7) years minimum experience in oil and gas revenue accounting.Ability to solve problems; exhibit proficiency in data management.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments.Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.Good administrative and organizational skills.Proficiency in the use and application of the following software:Required: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook).Required: Working knowledge of oil and gas accounting systems.Required: SAP-PRA experience.Optional: Alteryx and/or SQL experience.Education RequirementsBachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year university or college with a degree in accounting, or equivalent experience.
