Number of Beds: 6 ORs

Patient Ratios: All cases require 1 scrub and 1 circulator. Pump cases also require a first assist/Heart Holder which can be an RN or CST

Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability): 1 Unit Secretary, 1 Charge Nurse, 1 PCA, 1 Core Tech

Scheduling requirements: On-call shifts will be assigned, rotated among staff

Floating policy: May float if needed, infrequent

Patient Experience requirements: Extensive relevant CVOR experience required

Hospital Specifics- Certifications: CST, BLS

Hiring profile Requested Skill Set: Must have: Extensive expertise and experience in the Scrub Role in the procedures listed below. Advanced skills needed: First Assist experience and proficiency is preferred but not required.

Procedures performed on unit: CABG, Valve Replacement, VAD Insertions, TAVR, VATS, Lobectomy, Pacemaker/AICD Insertions, Septal Myectomy, Ross Procedure, EVH, IABP Insertions, Femoral Cannulation, Circulatory Arrest

Certifications Required: CST, BLS

Dress Code: (Required uniform) Hospital will provide scrubs; hospital surgical attire policy must be followed

Unit Guidelines/Policies: Will be provided during orientation.
