SUBSTITUTE CUSTODIANS

Substitute CustodianAnticipated Start Date: Immediately Upon HireDetails: Substitute positions work on an as needed basis, 12 months per year. Must be willing to substitute at least (5) times throughout the school year.Compensation: The Substitute Custodian rate of pay is $16.74/hourly. A full day for a Substitute Custodian would be an 8 hour day. This position works an irregular schedule therefore, this position does not include benefits.Job Summary: To provide students with a safe, clean, efficient and comfortable place in which to learn, play and develop to their full potential.Qualifications:Requires prior cleaning experience, school cleaning experience preferredRequires the ability to perform essential functions of the positionRequires the ability to safely operate all custodial equipmentRequires the ability to be dependable and punctualRequires the ability to read & interpret documents such as operating & maintenance instructions, procedures, safety rules, etc.Requires willingness to complete job-related trainingRequires the ability to work independently, use good judgment, and be able to follow written and oral instructionsRequires the ability to remain flexible & positive with the demands of the job without losing sight of the mission, task or assignmentRequires the ability to develop effective working relationships with students and the school communityRequires the ability to work with a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural populationAffton School District is an equal opportunity employer & E-Verify participant
