The Food Service Worker is responsible for setting up and delivering resident meal trays, working efficiently on the tray line, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, including the dish machine and kitchen areas. This is a role requiring proficiency in all aspects of the tray line. Weekends and holidays are required.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to meet acceptable background check standards.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as appropriate

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in food service
• Experience in healthcare environment

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

• Accurately portion, serve, set up, and deliver all resident meal trays quickly with minimum waste and in accordance with departmental procedures.
• Clean and operate equipment per departmental procedures
• Accurately portion food items such as desserts, nourishments, hot food, cold food, bread, milk, etc.
• Assist with special events and catering as assigned.
• Safely transport food trucks and equipment to resident units, ensuring timely and proper delivery.
• Wrap silverware
• Scrape used resident trays of all refuse in the dish machine area and properly run dish machines.
• Mop all floor surfaces.
• Clean and wipe food trucks, tables, and stations
• Assist with Garden Grill Caf service as assigned, serving residents and visitors
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the caf area
• Catering and vending duties as assigned.
• Adhere to organization and department dress codes and time/attendance policy.
• Provide exceptional service to veterans and staff members.
• All other duties as assigned by supervisors.
